Located approximately 90 miles southwest of Chicago, at the crossroads of the nation, the Illinois Valley Area has more than 5,700 acres of reasonably priced land, some with rail, barge access, and a regional airport with 6000-foot runway. Most sites are in, or adjacent to, enterprise zones and many are also in TIF districts. An abundant skilled work force is available. Illinois Valley Community College offers training to area industry, either on site or on campus. I-80, intersects I-39, the connecting interstate linking Canada to the Gulf, in the Illinois Valley Area.
